Embroidery
A graphic to be embroidered requires a good quality visual. We always redraw the graphic in our specialized embroidery program. This puts in all the stitches and allows us to adjust files for different fabrics and finishes. Send us a jpg, bmp or a doc file thats clean and clear. We can crop if required.

Printing
Any graphic to be screen printed, digitally printed or transfer printed requires high definition artwork in  electronic file format. The better the input the better the output.Send a jpg, illustrator or pagemaker file.

Artwork formats.

All electronic art supplied must be in a PC compatible file format, not Mac.

Suitable file types are; JPG, TIFF, CPT(Corel Draw), BMP or PDF .
If possible, also send an accurately printed proof as an additional check.

Medium

You can supply files on a floppy disk, a CD, DVD, memory stick or by email.

If the logo is to be embroidered you can provide a hard copy only. e.g. Business card, letterhead, brochure, bromide or colour proof. Post to us at Box 25300, St Heliers, Auckland.

Colour specifications.

Please specify what colours you want in your graphics. Remember, these will be different on different colour fabrics. Black on black may not work. Neither will white on white. Unless you want subtle branding.

In embroidery we have a limited number of coloured cottons. So a near enough match will be used.

In screen printing etc ink can be mixed to almost any colour. You must provide PMS ink colour codes. Your printer or graphic artist can provide these.

Your Graphic.

For maximum impact keep your graphics simple. Rather than saying "The Mighty Hose Company of NZ Limited" you would have more brand impact....and better reproduction, if you just said "Mighty Hose"

Be aware that the height of the words in your logo are determined by the length of your line.
"Mighty Hose" on one line will have smaller letters than on 2 lines.

Graphic size reproduction.

Usually a chest logo is a maximum of 100mm wide whereas a back or centre front can go to 300mm wide.(Embroidery usually a maximum of 250mm) This varies with the size of the garment.

Proofs

You will always be given a proof of embroidery to be done in final stitched form. This will include the actual cotton colors to be used. You can change the size or colors at this stage. However if you want us to run further proofs so you can see "what it looks like" you will be charged $20.00 for each additional proof until the design is finalized. We will not proceed with your work until you have signed off the proof.

When your graphics are to be printed, we will endeavour to provide a mockup of the finished garment.
These are usually emailed to you and your acceptance by email is binding.

Your co operation

We are keen to give you what you want within the scope of the technology we work with. Please be prepared to deal with us patiently while we perfect your job specification. An incorrect execution of your work is very annoying and expensive for both of us. We work extra hard during the specification process to make sure you will be happy with the result. Our goal is happy customers who come back for more and tell their friends. We know you are busy, but time spent during this process will benefit us all in the end.
