Embroidery is the process of stitching a logo onto a garment.
The cost depends on the size of the logo and the number of logos done in a run.
Typically pocket size logos can cost between $8.00* per garment down to as low as $2.00*.
The minimum run is 10 garments. You can run less but you pay for 10.
Embroidery requires a file to be made by a graphic artist (Digitised) which has the stitches init and a number of control variables that help the logo run on different fabrics.
There is a one time origination cost t o set up the logo.
Again this depends on size and complexity but is typically in the range of $40* to $100*.
After the initial setup the file is kept and can be used anytime for no further origination cost.
We have thousands of customer designs on file which customers access whenever required.
Embroidery is best for graphics smaller than the size of the palm of your hand.
Bigger designs can be done but do get expensive.
The advantages of embroidery are that it is permanent, adds a "quality" look and does not fade, shrink or fall off..
However, like all decoration methods you need to look after the design by washing the garment inside out and avoiding hot washes.

Screen printing is the process of applying a logo to a garment with ink.
The cost varies from around $6.00* down to less than $2.00* per garment. The price will depend on the colors and quantity in a run.
Mostly only 1 or 2 colors are used.
A full color job being four colors, which mix to give all the colors of the rainbow.
However 5 or 6 color jobs are not uncommon where a high quality print is required.
The minimum run is 20 garments.
Film and screens are needed for every size and color image.
A single color job only needs 1 set of screen and film at approximately $65.00* a set.
A 4 color job needs 4 sets at a cost of $260.00*.
Once a set has been made for a run and another run is done at a later date you only need to pay for a machine setup on the subsequent runs.
Screen printing is ideal for large graphics as there is very little cost difference between designs 100mm wide and those 300mm wide.
Its also ideal for High Visibility prints in day glow Yellow or Orange for jackets, overalls and shirts.
The organization's name can be included in the "V" type designs.

Transfer printing is similar to screen printing but the print is applied to a backing paper and "Transfered" to the garment with a heat press.
The cost of printing and application is around $8.00* per garment down to about $3.00* per garment depending on run size, graphic size and the number of colors needed.
Setup costs are much the same as screen printing.
This method is often used for printing garments on an "as required" basis. Like school or sports shirts.
Because the labels are printed in a long run then held for application by heat press on a short run basis.
Minimum run for the labels is 50 units.
High resolution eps, jpg, photoshop or illustrator files are required.
Usually your printer or signwriter can supply at a minimal cost.

Digital printing is relatively new technology where an image in full color is "inkjet" printed onto a peice of flexible vinyl. This is then trimmed to a basic shape...square, round, oblong or similar then heat set onto a garment.
This gives almost paper print reproduction quality of fine lettering and design elements.

Costs depend, as above, on run and graphic size. A budget figure is around $9.00*per garment reducing to about $4.00* per garment, printed, trimmed and applied.
This is ideal for small use garments like club jackets and shirts where they are only worn occasionally or only for one event.
Minimum runs are 10 units.
Setup costs are around $35.00* with artwork costs of about $20* depending on the quality of the artwork you can supply.

* All costs quoted are dependant on the quantity you are having done, the quality of your artwork, the number of colors in your design. Contact us to confirm the costs for your job.
Note: All our prices are subject to GST. Currently an additional 12.5% . Many organizations are able to claim this back from IRD. You should discuss this with your accountant to see if you can claim.

Choose a method that suits you.

Then to make it happen send us your logo as an electronic file.

For the print processes we need a high resoultion file in a common graphics program file format.
Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw etc. Please also send as a jpg file.

For embroidery we just need a sharp picture. We will redraw your logo in our embroidery program.
This puts in all the stitches and controls we need to apply the logo in different sizes to different fabrics.

Send us a jpg, bitmap, word file or similar.
